Made by hand.
Made with character.
From a tiny outhouse to a dedicated workshop, we've always believed furniture should be as individual as the people who live with it.
It started in an outhouse.
Outhouse Byhand began in 2015, in a little outhouse barely big enough to work in. What started as a small space to make things by hand gradually grew into something much bigger.
Today, the workshop has changed, but the idea behind the business hasn't: take time over the details, work with honest materials and make furniture that's built for real life.
Every piece of timber has a story.
We love working with reclaimed wood. Its grain, knots, marks and natural variations give each piece its own personality — no two builds are ever quite the same.
Rather than hiding those details, we celebrate them, combining the warmth of timber with thoughtful, practical design.
Designed around you.
From bespoke DJ booths built around a customer's exact equipment to shelving, storage and one-off furniture, every project starts with a conversation.
We consider how you'll use the piece, where it will live and the finish that feels right for your space. Then we make it by hand, with care at every stage.
“Furniture should feel personal — not like something that could belong to anyone.”

Let's make something together.
Tell us what you're imagining. We'd love to hear about your project.
