DJ Booths
Our most popular bespoke commission to date
Whatever your set up is, we will design your booth to your requirements.
Make your equipment look at home in your own custom DJ Booth.
Hidden away and out of sight allowing you to focus on your seamless home set up.
We started building DJ Booths in 2019 after a regular client got in touch looking for a solution that they couldn't find elsewhere. A piece of furniture that could house all of their equipment, hide all of the cables and look stylish in their home. Once the DJ community had seen our take on DJ furniture they have been a hit ever since.
No two DJ Booths are the same, every order we make is bespoke to your requirements.
We start off asking a few basic questions.
The first most important question is, what is the access like?
These units are solid and fully built on arrival. They also reassuringly weigh a lot. Bare this in mind when thinking where the unit will go and how it will get there.
Then we look at what equipment you will be using, decks, mixer, CDJs, speakers and amps etc
What height do you like to play your decks at, as everyone has a different preference.
Do you need vinyl storage? Do you want it open and visible to show off your collection or hidden away in drawers or cupbaords or sliding doors?
Will the unit go direct on the floor or be raised on feet or be mobile on large weight bearing moveable castors?
Do you have a maximum/minimum size you’d like the unit?
We then create a 3D sketch based on your requirements and tweak the design until it’s exactly how you imagined.
Once built we deliver and install the unit making sure everything sits perfectly in its place and all the cables have plenty of access. We may also make any minor adjustments required on site.
Then it's time to let the tunes play!
Scaffold board characteristics -
The wood we use on all of our furniture is reclaimed scaffold boards. These have led colourful lives on building sites across the country. We buy our boards kiln dried, this means it will limit the warping and splitting that you may witness on some other reclaimed wood furniture you have seen but will not eradicate it completely. We advise you to not place your furniture in close proximity to a high heat source like a stove or in a greenhouse as the fluctuating heat can dry out the wood very quickly, potentially causing splits and warping. Each board is completely individual and as such will take on different characteristics once oiled. There may be colour variations between each board. Some boards may have saw, burn, rust, screw hole marks which all add to the quirk and character of this style of furniture. The nature of this material means it will move slightly over time but is more susceptible to dramatic heat changes so bear this in mind when you think about where the furniture will live in your home. If you're after an immaculate uniform Ikea style aesthetic then we may not be the furniture maker for you.
